Both the cops and a private investigator hired by Howie-Alec Pelley (Jeremy Bobb)-start to investigate. I’ll skip over some of the details at this point. He tells his wife to call Howie (Bill Camp) a lawyer friend, who shows up at the station sometime later. ![]() Not just Terry’s but his wife Marcy (Julianne Nicholson) and their two daughters as well. “You just ruined our lives,” he says as they drive off. So Terry is brought into the station and publicly humiliated. “So yeah, when you ask if I ever touched your son, I like to think I did.” Later he tells Ralph a touching story about how he taught Ralph’s son to bunt, and how much his newfound baseball skills built his kid’s confidence. “I’m insulted you would even ask me that, Ralph,” Terry replies. “Did you ever touch my boy?” he asks, when the suspect is shoved into the back of the police car. His son, now dead from cancer, used to play under coach Maitland. ![]() Why would this beloved family man who’s lived in this community his whole life suddenly viciously murder a little boy? Nobody stops to ask that question, and Maitland isn’t even afforded a preliminary interview before being taken into custody.
