![]() ![]() There are multiple pictures on one page - which often even overlap each other - placed on a much too active background which is just chaotic and distracting from the actual artworks. ![]() The first two-thirds of the book are filled with lovely full-page illustrations - the last third, however, is a mess. Haine may not be my favourite of her heroines but she's got some really adorable artworks going for her. ![]() Despite the odd limbs mentioned, there are many gorgeous illustrations in this book. Luckily, it seems she started to come around toward the end of the series as she went back to her early Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne eye style and thus combining the best of her old with the good of her new style. She definitely tried to change how she draws eyes and it gave them a pretty empty look. Some of the earlier illustrations of the series have very awkward and long limbs that sometimes look as though they've been broken or bent in ways that shouldn't be possible. ![]() It worked well for some things but not quite so good for others. However, I do like it better than the comic itself.Įven while reading the manga, I found that Tanemura was trying to change her style. Much like the actual manga itself, the Gentlemen's Alliance Cross artbook is my least favourite or Tanemura's. ![]()
